#56

Lately I've been feeling like a grumpy, jaded old man when it comes to music.  I cant get into alot of stuff that getting way super popular nowadays.  Hell, most if it is just fucking unlistenable.  But, for the most part, I can back some of it.  I wont pay to see them live, but to each his own...right?

Yea...I thought so too until I saw this bullshit.  Taylor Swift...I can totally give her number one.  I don't like it, it's just not my thing.  I knew she would get it.  I'm more worried about #56.  Thursday.  Ok seriously people, fuck you.  This band gets on stage EVERY fucking night and literally bleeds onstage, and all you can give them is #56.  The CD was 8 Dollars!  Thats less than a drink!  They switched over to epitaph so sure they saw less radio/advertising but fuckin A.  You kids can wear purple Forever the sickest kids and metro station shirts for 20$, but a band that has worked their ass off and left everything on stage gets behind nickleback.  It wasnt even their first week!  Fuck The Maine, fuck 3oh3, fuck autotune, fuck metro station, fuck brokencyde, and fuck jstar.  Brokencyde are dumb fucks and encourage rape and drinking in clubs when the dumb fucks aren't even old enough to get in.  And you kids eat it up.  How they ever sold out a tour i'll never know.  Actually, I do.  The venues were the size of my place.  That many people couldnt possibly be dumb enough to fall for their bullshit.  Just fucking give back to a band that gives all.  Heres the video, spread it around if you like it.

I forgot to mention, the other screamy voice is Tim from Rise Against.

A Cheery post for once? I was shocked too...

So the birthday...well...for lack of a better word...blew.  Although I did go out adventuring with Kim the day before.  Holy splurge.  I bought things I definitely do not need, but I'm stoked on the regardless.  New Video Game (Skate 2), Some awesome albums (Thursday, CIV, A Newfound Glory, Bob Dylan), a new backpack, and a massive comic book, which I will get into now.
Any self-respecting comic book nerd knows Watchmen.  They know it well.  Its the ONLY Graphic novel to ever make the NY Times 100 Best novels of all time list.  And it deserves it.  With that said, I am slightly nervous about the
movie.  I read online that they changed the ending and we all know that the "visionary" director loves his slow-mo.  So I will definitely be seeing thins in Imax when it is released, but with crossed arms.  Anyway, to brush up and get ready for the movie, I knew I needed to pick up a new copy of the book.  I havent read it in a while, so I definitely need to.  Kim gave me a 40% off coupon for borders, and I knew I would buy it.  Sure enough, right in the middle is a display showing every version of the book imaginable.  I picked up this...
Normally, this thing goes for 75$.  Massive and hardcover and friggen awesome.  Basically, it is the DEFINITIVE version of the comic.  Buy this, and you will never need another version.  I paid 40$.  I am stoked on that price.  And I am stoked to read it again.  It will look awesome next to Calvin & Hobbes.
I may be getting older, but on my birthday I ate pizza, read comics, and played video games.  I asked my mom if she's absolutely sure I am not 12.

So thank you to Everyone who wished me happy birthday.  It really does mean alot.  To those that forgot (Chiara)...you are so beeflisted.
